As if playing for team 'shut it down!' wasn't enough. Ovechkin just keeps showing the world why he's the greatest. His attitude off the ice might not be the best...but as a player he is ridonkulous! He makes everyone around him play like ballers! Tonight's game on the NHL network featured the Caps & Lightning & I have discovered a new love for the reds from D.C. Mike Green & Brooks Laich should be reason enough for anyone to be a fan. Mike Knuble had 2 goals, but each player brings his own flavor to the ice. The Washington Capitals are just a pot full of talent...they extended their home winning streak to 12 on Thursday night.
The Pens beat the Rangers 5-4 at MSG...Malkin sent it home in overtime and extended his point streak to 15 games...Geno is the man! Sid had a tussle with Lundqvist...a little shove at the Rangers goalie had the rest of the team jumping on him real quick. The message the Rangers sent...'we protect ours'...a motto I'm pretty sure rings true for any NHL team.
