Playoffs Recap: Day 1

It was incredible. Not even five minutes into the period Malkin shoots one from the far side on the right and gets right past Elliot making it a one-nothing game. Penguins fans were raving and it seemed like it was going to be smooth sailing from there, not even close.
The Senators played as if they were playing IN the Stanley Cup finals. They fought hard scoring goal after goal and always one-upping their competitor. In near restitution Craig Adams scored a goal, giving hope to his team but unfortunately the Pens fell to the Senators in their playoff home opener and all the blame from this side is being put on Mc-Fleury who was pure GARBAGE last night and should have been pulled for at least the third period. Let's hope those playoff beards get a chance to grow, with Mc-Fleury in the net though it may be damn near impossible.

The Coyotes just keep on impressing and played a tight game with the relentless Red Wings resulting in a 3-2 score in favor of Phoenix. The seen underdogs Avalanche defeated the number one seat Sharks and the Flyers started their playoff run well, putting the Devils down.

Be sure to watch tonight as the # 1 Capitals take on the Habs @ the Verizon Center.
